Each one is tied to a venture I'm building against — pricing for RapidPricer, forest loss for Global Launch Base's conservation work, soil and weather for the farm. The systems are real, the numbers are public, and the problem changes by the second.

ii.About

My work has been built around a single question: how do we design economic systems that include more people, without leaving landscapes behind?

The question first showed up as pricing. Twenty-one years ago I started working with Target, Walmart, and Office Depot, then consulted for PwC, IBM, and Kurt Salmon. In 2008 I founded CustoLogix in Palo Alto, California. In 2017 I moved to Amsterdam and founded RapidPricer to bring AI to pricing at machine speed.

The same question, framed across borders, became Global Launch Base, which I co-founded with Anubha Chicki to help European companies build in India. And on a 7-acre farm in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, Aré Guḍi is where I'm asking whether agriculture can produce real yield while rebuilding the landscape it sits on.

I wrote The Expert Guide to Retail Pricing (Routledge, 2023), host Retail Price Talk, and have been writing publicly about how globalization, automation, and AI shape who prospers since 2016.

I split time between Bangalore, Amsterdam, and the farm.

iii.Work

Three live ventures across business, agriculture, and the beginnings of conservation.

RapidPricer

I founded RapidPricer in Amsterdam in 2017 to bring AI to retail pricing at machine speed. The platform has demonstrated 8.7% gross margin improvement across 1,500+ stores. RASPER, our SaaS engine, is live on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, and we've partnered with Hexaware to deliver pricing across North America and Europe. Clients span food retailers and QSR chains across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Aré Guḍi — areca palm farm in the Western Ghats Western Ghats · 2026

Aré Guḍi · Founded 2026 · Regenerative Agriculture

Aré Guḍi ಅರೆ ಗುಡಿ

Aré Guḍi is a seven-acre regenerative areca and black pepper farm I run in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. It's home to 3,000 areca palms, a biocompost operation across thirty piles, and an active apiary. We're now scoping a polyphenol-and-biochar diversification model for areca that aims to redirect the crop from its dominant gutkha market into higher-value, non-divertible uses, with a target launch in July 2026.
